Residents Jubilates As Security Operatives Takes Over ‘Cultism Lane’ In Mile 2 Diobu, a major street in port Harcourt

A major hideout for suspected cultists in Azikiwe street, Mile 2 Diobu Porthacourt known as ‘Cultism Lane’ has been taken over by security operatives seven days after a raid of the brothels and the cultists den by Police and other sister agencies that led to arrest of fifty suspects even as residents of the area has harped praises on the Rivers State Police command for dismantling what they refer to as one of the most notorious criminal hideouts in Porthacourt.

Our correspondent who has been monitoring situation reports that Diobu Vigilance group working under the supervision of the Nigeria Police has taken over ‘cultism lane’ and mounted their office there.

Investigation by our reporter indicated that the ‘cultism lane’ prior to the raid was a logistics and planning base for suspected cultists in the area.No description available.

Recall that the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command SP Grace Iringe Koko had confirmed the raid while stating that those found innocent will be released unconditionally.

Our correspondent also reports that incidence of handset robbery, robbing of passerby money, harassment of ladies passing along the Azikiwe street has been reduced to almost zero after the raid of the area by the Police ,Diobu Vigilance group with other sister agencies.
