Igbo bu Igbo National Leader meet Hon Okolie Over Demolition of Property in Delta State
The National Leader Igbo bu Igbo South East Forum High Chief Henry Uzozie and Financier Henry Marshall Foundation has led a delegation of the Igbos residing in Asaba the Delta State capital to pay a courtesy visit to Hon Ngozi Okolie, member representing Aniocha -Oshimili federal constituency at the House of Representatives Abuja over the demolition of some property in Asaba the Delta State capital.

In his remarks, Chief Uzozie who spoke on behalf of the delegation whose property were destroyed by the State Government during the demolition exercise, said that they were shocked by the action taken by the state government on the demolition, adding that the Igbos residing within the State Capital were most affected

He said that the landed property demolished were legally acquired and approvals given by Civil Servants of the relevant authorities that works with Delta State government ministries in charge. He wondered why these houses were demolished.
Chief Uzozie frowned at the losses incurred by the Igbos and other tribes, adding that they were not duly notified before the demolition exercise was carried out. He also wondered why a demolition should be carried out on property with approved survey plans/building plans that originated from the same Delta State government.

The National Leader and his delegation pleaded with their host to help into the matter with the Delta State government and see how his people and other tribes affected can be compensated.
You will recall that the Igbos represent a larger population of inhabitants of Asaba the direct constituency of Hon Ngozi Okolie, where they contribute economically to the growth and development of the State at large. It will be unfair when the State Government they have supported wholeheartedly during the elections would turn around and treat them this way.

Igbo bu Igbo South East Forum is a socio -political group that support good governance and ensure equity fairness and justice.
In his response, Hon Ngozi Okolie commended Igbo bu Igbo South East Forum National Leader and his delegation for the courtesy visit and their peaceful disposition since the demolition exercise occurred. He also assured his guests of his support to them in this trying moment of their loss, adding that he will do his best to intervene with the Delta State government to see how they can be compensated.
