Ijaw Youths Protest, Block Parts Of East-West Road, Demands Swift Completion

Some Members of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) led by their leaders on Monday held a peaceful demonstration on the Rivers State axis of the East-West Road.

The youths led by IYC President, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr, demanded for the swift completion of Eastwest road project they describe as ‘economically important to the Niger Delta region’.

The protesting youths urged the Federal Government to prioritize the completion of the road as soon as possible to avoid the total grounding of the busy road in the no distant time.
