The Rivers State Police Command on Friday 24th, January 2025 organized a send forth party in honour of 2ic Public Relations Officer of the Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Epiekiri FirstMan and another officer in the Human rights department, Police headquarters, Moscow road, DSP Edith Nsude as they bowed out after thirty years of service.
The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju who graced the event which was held at the Command’s headquarters, Moscow road, Portharcourt in his remarks, said retiring peacefully is one the best thing that can happen to any officer.
“you started well, you ended well. Retirement is not for you to relax and be sleeping. it should be beginning of Good things in your life. I rejoice with you. I wish you the best. We will all retire one day. Take care of your retirees. Once a Police officer is always an officer” CP Adepoju said.
On her part ,Assistant Commissioner of Police Administration, Rivers Police Command, ACP Ireju Barisua said both officers are personalities.
“DSP Edith is so gentle, humble with the way she has carried on with her job, God will increase her. I pray she will be recognized even in her community and the world at large.
She continued “FirstMan worked in Woji with me when I was DPO in 2014.For every good work he has done, God will add to him. He singled out himself .God will enlarge his coast.. Daniel 6 vs 3,..Daniel was preferred above the Governor and prince because excellent spirit was upon him” ACP Barisua said.
SP Grace Iringe Koko, the Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police Command in her speech, noted that both of them worked with her.
“DSP Edith is gentle, always punctual. She is a discipline officer. She is not promiscuous. She is very humble and dedicated.
“DSP FirstMan is like a brother, friend and backbone. When I am not there, he will be acting. When I delegate duties to him, he achieves result. I love both of them and will miss them.
In his vote of thanks, FirstMan thanked the guest for gracing the event. He said the journey was so rough.
“I am retiring after thirty -five years. I appreciate the CP, DCP for gracing the event. I thank my immediate Boss, SP Grace Iringe Koko. I learnt so many things from her which I will fall back on in the society” DSP FirstMan said
Edith Nsude thanked the CP,DCP PRO and other members of the Public Relations Department, Police headquarters, Moscow road for their support and show of love.
