Judge Bar Nnamdi Kanu’s Sister-In-Law From Attending 3 Court Proceedings

A woman, Favour Kanu, has been sanctioned by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja for streaming court proceedings related to her brother-in-law, Nnamdi Kanu, on Facebook.
Favour is the wife of Prince Fineboy, the younger brother of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who is currently facing trial for alleged terrorism.

On Tuesday, Justice Omotosho barred Favour from attending three court proceedings after she admitted to and apologised for her actions. Kanu’s lawyer, Chief Kanu Agabi, SAN, also apologised on her behalf.

However, the trial judge expressed particular displeasure that Favour had engaged in similar behaviour during the last adjourned date.

As a result, her phone was confiscated by the court for recording the proceedings.

Nnamdi Kanu is facing a seven-count charge related to terrorism, to which he has pleaded not guilty during his re-arraignment before Justice Omotosho.
