Kidnappers of Ex-AIG’s Wife, Gun Down By Police, Victim Rescued N100M Ransom Recovered Ogun State”

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force from the Ogun State command have successfully neutralized the kidnappers responsible for the abduction of Mrs Hakeem Odumosu, the wife of a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police.

Following an intense manhunt, security forces not only rescued the victim but also recovered a substantial, yet undisclosed, ransom that had been paid to the criminals.

Mrs Odumosu was abducted from her home last Thursday when armed abductors stormed their residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed that the victim was found unharmed.

“The police have successfully neutralised the kidnappers of AIG Hakeem Odumosu’s wife and recovered the ransom. The Inspector-General of Police has praised the efforts of the police operatives and the Commissioner of Police for Ogun State, Lanre Ogunlowo, for their commendable work,” Adejobi, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, stated.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to safeguarding the citizens of Nigeria and protecting our beloved country,” he added.
