Senator Natasha has arrived in her hometown, Ihima, to a massive show of support from the people. Large crowds have gathered, following her with cheers and drumming as she moves through the town.
In a video circulating online, she is seen walking along a major road, surrounded by supporters chanting and celebrating her presence. The energy in the town is high, with many residents defying earlier restriction measures imposed by local authorities.
Addressing the crowd, Senator Natasha declared: “Nobody and nothing can stop me from coming home. I’m an Ebira woman; this is my land. I’m the daughter of the late Jimoh Abdul Akpoti. I know my roots; I’m not a bastard, and I’m not afraid of anybody.”
Her words were met with loud cheers as the crowd continued to march alongside her, expressing their unwavering support.

This homecoming comes after authorities had placed certain restrictions ahead of her visit. However, the turnout of residents shows strong backing for the senator, as people freely express their loyalty and excitement.
Earlier Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who emphasized her desire for a peaceful homecoming, made the declaration in a post on her verified Facebook account on Tuesday.
She wrote, “My dear people of Kogi Central, I look forward to our PEACEFUL Sallah celebrations today. However, should we be met with or infiltrated by violence, Nigerians should hold Gov Ododo, Yahaya Bello & SP Godswill Akpabio wholly responsible.”
Her team had earlier said that the visit remains on schedule despite the recent ban on rallies and public gatherings imposed by the Kogi State Government, citing security concerns.
She dismissed rumours that she had cancelled her trip, urging her supporters to disregard such claims.
the police had advised her to cancel the rally, but indications suggest she will proceed as planned.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was recently suspended from the Senate for six months for allegedly violating legislative rules. She also faces a potential recall, allegedly backed by political figures from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The lawmaker has been at the centre of multiple controversies, including her accusation against Senate President Akpabio of sexual harassment.
