The National Leader of Igbo bu Igbo Southeast Forum, Chief Uzozie Henry, Urges Caution in Charitable Donations.

Chief Uzozie While  speaking with  journalists said “We appreciate Mr. Peter Obi’s generosity in donating to our Reverend Fathers, Sisters, and schools but “we must emphasize the importance of discretion in these charitable acts, given the prevailing insecurity in the Southeast region.

The Igbo bu Igbo Southeast Forum strongly condemns the rampant killings, kidnappings, and ransom demands perpetrated by criminal elements in our region. While we acknowledge Mr. Obi’s right to support humanitarian causes, we urge him to reconsider the public display of cheque presentations, as it may inadvertently put the recipients at risk.

Instead, we propose that such donations be made through more secure and discreet channels, ensuring the safety of our citizens. We believe that this approach will align with the ongoing efforts of the President, Governors, and security agencies to protect Nigerian lives.

As a respected leader, we encourage Mr. Obi to prioritize the well-being and security of our people in his philanthropic endeavors.
