NAWOJ Commends IGP For The Appointment Of Female Force Secretary

Nigeria Association of Women Journalists , NAWOJ, felicitates AIG Yetunde Longe, over her recent appointment as the first female Force Secretary.

This is contained in a statement signed by by NAWOJ National Chairperson, Aisha Ibrahim and National Secretary, Wasilah Ladan.

She described AIG Longe as a dedicated officer, who has worked hard through the years, to get to where she is today, adding that it is a well deserved appointment.

Comrade Aisha Ibrahim commended the Inspector General of Police Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, for having faith in the capacity of women, which propelled him to appoint her as the Force Secretary, knowing that she can handle all tasks like her male colleagues.

In this capacity, AIG Longe, will be responsible for overseeing the secretarial functions of the Force Headquarters, ensuring that policies and directives of the IGP are implemented effectively, as well as coordinate the affairs of senior police officers among others.
