Nigerian Girl Guides Association Advocating For Free Education For Every Girl From Basic To Tertiary Level

GAGE is an acronym for Girls Advocating for Girls Education . It is championed by The Nigerian Girl Guides Association , Education as a Vaccine and Malala .
This advocacy is currently ongoing in twelve different states of the country and Rivers State is part of it.
It’s main aim is to commit decision and policy makers especially our political contestants in this electionery year to include girls education in their agenda as they take up political positions in next four years .
Baseline study confirms that though Rivers State is not amongst the lowest rating states of girls education , hence it is also not amongst the highest ranking states . That is the reason for the advocacy that the number be increased , giving every girl free education from basic level to tertiary level. it should be a top priority in the next four years , we want a society we’re girls are not denied education because of lack of finance , distance from home to school a wise man said
“Educating the girl child is educating a generation”
