The gateway international church has ended its vigil of destiny program with a Thanksgiving service at the altar of mercy, Elioparanwo headquarters on Sunday 27 August, 2025.
The epocmaking thanksgiving service was used to thank God for the successful vigil of destiny with miracles, impartations, deliverances, blessings, and teachings by the Lead Pastor George Izunwa.
The thanksgiving service was also used to dedicate 11 Children as well as benevolence to over 20 members of the church, and financial support to some members in business and with health challenges.
Speaking to our correspondent shortly after the presentation of the food items, and cheques to the beneficiaries, Director, Pastoral Care, Special Business Unit SBU, Pastor Joseph George Ajueshi, said that the benevolence to some members of the church is done every month, aimed at reaching out to the society, especially to members of gateway international church.
Pastor Ajueshi opined that what happens at the end of the month is just a tip of the iceberg, because the lead Pastor George Izunwa with a large heart visits hospitals on weekly basis where he settles hospital bills of members of gateway church the runs in millions of naira.
On the issue of Benevolence, Ajueshi said that a lot of people are suffering and many cannot meet up due to economic hardship, but to stretch a hand of fellowship to the people, the church decided to reach out to members every month.
He said, ” some people cannot meet up, while some find it difficult to even feed, hence the church in its magnanimity decided to donate food stuffs to some members every month to take care of their families”.
According to him, apart from the food stuffs given to some church members, some people who are into business were given financial support and mentorship, even as he opined that in March 2025, the church did an empowerment where grants were given to some business men and women of gateway international church.
He further disclosed that gateway as a friendly church also give scholarships and financial support to members.
Meanwhile, some of the beneficiaries of gateway July benevolence expressed gratitude to the Lead Pastor George Izunwa who approved the funds for the benevolence, and prayed God to replenish his pocket and bless the church.
