Political Allies Favoured As Rivers Chief Judge Swears In 16 New Magistrates

The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice SIMEON CHIBUZOR-AMADI has charged the newly appointed Magistrates of the State Judiciary to take seriously the task of justice delivery in discharge of their responsibilities.

Justice CHIBUZOR-AMADI gave the advise during swearing in of the sixteen new Magistrates at the Ceremonial Court Hall at the Judiciary Complex where he advised them against the temptation of making quick money but should be ready for service.

The Chief Judge stressed the need for the new Magistrates to comply with constitutional provisions and must isolate themselves from friends, family members and members of the public considering the nature of their choice of job.

Justice CHIBUZOR-AMADI reminded them that to succeed, you must design their priority including studying to know the law and rules of the criminal justice law to enable them discharge their duties efficiently and effectively.

Justice CHIBUZOR-AMADI warned that the act of excuses will not be tolerated especially from those that will be deployed to rural areas, insisting that they must be ready to serve at all times.

The newly appointed and sworn in Magistrates are, AWUSE LILIAN-NGBECHI, AKAH OKWUDIRI, AKANI WOBIA-CRISTABEL, VICTOR-IHUNWO QUEENNETH-OGBONDA, IBANICHUKA SAMUEL, CONSTANCE KELVIN-CHINAKA, MARTYNS YELLOWE-DOKU, AMADI ISREAL-ISIGUZORU, AKPU OBISIKE-CHARLES and BRIGGS KINGSLEY who are sworn in as Senior Magistrate grade one.

Others are NDUKWU THANKGOD, HART ALEX ISOUALA, NWINEE HAROLD BARISIP who are of Senior Magistrate grade two and WIKE LESLEY-BELEMA, EPELLE EMMANUEL-SONNY and AKEODI OYAGHIRI who are ordinary Magistrate.
