Port Harcourt High Court Bars PDP, Agents From Conducting Congress In Rivers State

Rivers State High Court  BARS THE PDP, ITS NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, ITS NATIONAL FINANCIAL SECRETARY, ITS NATIONAL ORGANIZING SECRETARY OR ANY OF THEIR AGENTS FROM HOLDING CONGRESS IN RIVERS STATE PENDING THE HEARING AND DETERMINATION OF THE SUIT BEFORE IT.

.The order prohibiting the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its top officials from conducting a congress in Rivers State stays until a pending lawsuit is heard and resolved.

The injunction affects the National Chairman, National Financial Secretary, National Organizing Secretary, and any other representatives of the party.

The court’s decision effectively halts any plans for a congress in the state, ensuring that no party activities related to the congress will take place until the legal matters before the court are fully addressed.
