Six Persons Feared Dead As Medical Plane Conveying Pediatric patients Crash On American Street

A medical ambulance plane transporting a pediatric patient has crashed on a street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.

Fox News reports that the plane crashed just moments after taking off, erupting in a fireball and engulfing several homes in fire.

The incident occurred near Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard just after 6 p.m. on Friday.

According to the FAA, the Learjet 55 departed from Northeast Philadelphia Airport en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri before it went down

Police say the plane was on a medical assignment. The FAA and Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy said six people were on board.

According to Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, in addition to four crew members, there were two passengers, including a pediatric patient.
