Suspect Handed To Police As Rivers Ministry Of Sports Wades Into Alleged Rape Of Female Student At Real Madrid Football Academy

The Rivers State Ministry of Sports under the leadership of Christopher Green Esq has waded into the alleged rape of a female JSS 2 student of Real Madrid Football Academy in Elekahia, PortHarcourt by her 17 year old class mate.

The Commissioner of Sports in the state,Hon.Green on Monday summoned a meeting which had in attendance the alleged victim, suspect,both parents,the school management .

We gathered that the suspect was handed over to the Police by Hon Green immediately after the meeting in his office at State Secretariat, PortHarcourt.

In an interview with Journalists,Uche Sampson,elder brother to the alleged raped victim said

“As I speak to you today, the Commissioner for Sports,Hon.Christopher Green has waded into the matter and he called for thorough investigation into the matter .

“He has also handed over the boy(suspect) to the Police, Elekahia Police Division to thoroughly investigate the matter,to ensure that Justice is given.

“I want to thank the Honourable Commissioner for Sports in Rivers State.He is a father,he is a leader.

“He handled the situation in a way a father would handle issues like this.He was so concerned.He showed so much care”.

Mr Uche also thanked the Rivers State Government,the Commissioner of Police,Human Rights organizations and in particular, the media for their efforts.

Recall that Mr Sampson last week Saturday,accused the school management of not handling the matter professionally.

The Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe Koko,a Superintendent of Police,SP had earlier confirmed to newsmen that Elekahia Police Division is investigating the incident.
