Tension As Police Takes Over Emir Of Kano Palace

Police vehicles blocked entrance into the palace as of the time of filing this report

Lots of thugs were prevented entrance to the palace, as gunshots from the police rented the air.

The Emir is said to have left the palace.

The confusion may also be unconnected with the Emir’s planned trip to Bichi town as his chief of Staff, Munnir Sanusi, assumes as district head, the first time since dissolution of the emirate.

Kano has been enmeshed in an emirship tussle since Sanusi was reinstated in May.
