Tension In Mpape Abuja Community As Scrap Dealers St@b Teenage Worker To D£ath

A19-year-old scraps worker (pantaker), identified as Sefilahi Danlami has been allegedly stabbed to death by his colleagues in Mpape, Bwari Area Council of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The incident which caused commotion in the area happened at “pantaker market” (Scrap Market) on Friday at about 2:30pm.

A source told SaharaReporters that one Ibrahim Dahiru who claimed that the deceased stole from him, arranged some boys to attack him with dangerous weapons at the Pantaker market, where he was stabbed to death.

“On Friday at pantaker market, 2:30pm, Ibrahim Dahiru and some other pantakers boys attacked Sefilahi Danlami.

“Ibrahim who said Danlami stole from him arranged some boys to attack him with dangerous weapons at pantaker market and he was stabbed to death,” the source said.

the spokesperson of FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh confirmed the incident on Saturday.

She noted that one suspect by name Ibrahim Dahiru, 22 years old, has been arrested, adding that investigations are still ongoing to unravel the facts of the incident.

She said; “It is a case of culpable homicide at Panteka market in Mpape of the FCT. A distress call was received by Mpape Police division FCT Police Command on 01 November 2024. Police operatives dispatched to the scene, one suspect by name Ibrahim Dahiru 22 yrs old was arrested.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect earlier mobilised seven (7) of his friends who are currently at large to attack the deceased Sefilahi Danlami ‘m’ 19yrs old, resulting in his death. Investigations are still ongoing to unravel the facts of the incident and updates will be given in due course.”
