The Long Drawn Battle On Dele Farotimi’s Book vs Afe Babalola -Quick Reviews

THE DEMURE DETAILS (A comprehensive review)

1. Farotimi had it all planned out.
2. He had his arrest and kidnapping planned out
3. He did the above by firstly writing a book and using the press to bait those he is attacking.
4. I believe Dele’s arrest has no hand of APC and Tinubu government in it.
5. It is basically Dele versus Afe Babalola
6. The book has 8 chapters.
7. Start from chapter 7 and ignore all the preceding chapters.
8. The main gist is that one man, Major Gbadamosi Eletu bought about 20 hectares of land from the Ojomu chieftaincy family in 1977.
9. Later Lagos Government acquired all the land including the one bought and the remaining 200 hectares owned by Ojomu and issued a Gazette to that effect.
10. The Eletu people sued and claimed ownership of the whole 240 hectares up to supreme court.
11. The Supreme Court in 2013 awarded only 10 hectares to Eletu and declared that the remaining 214 hectares belonged to Ojomu.
12. The Ojomu people are the clients of Farotimi.
13. Afe Babalola became the lawyer for the Eletu after the 2013 supreme court judgement. According to Farotimi, he was promised a fee of 10 million dollars.
14. Meanwhile, the Eletu and powerful lawyers within the Lagos state Judiciary and Ministry of Justice got a forged order of supreme court and use it to get an order or writ of possession from Lagos justice administration system. Armed with this bogus documents, they got police, court officials and thugs to move to the disputed land and states in Osapa where they wanted to take possession of their “property”. However Farotimi and other lawyers asked for the judgement enforcers to produce the “enrolled orders of the supreme court “ of their judgement which they failed to provide.
15. It was on the basis of the above that Farotimi was able to challenge Justice Atilade who wrote the writ of possession on the basis of a forged Supreme Court Judgement. When this was exposed, Atilade persuaded Farotimi to file an ex parte motion for the quashing of the writ of possession. They were told to say the reason for quashing is “documentary irregularities” which according to Farotimi is “euphemism for fraud”.
16. Enters Afe Babalola. His job was simple: get the Supreme Court to recant on its earlier judgment.
17. So Afe Babalola represented the Eletu in a second case in 2014 and this time around the Supreme Court set aside its 2013 ruling and awarded 214 hectares of Land to Eletu family.
Afe Babalola and Wole Olanipekun tried this system again with the Bayelsa case when they asked the Supreme Court to set aside its earlier ruling which awarded governorship to PDP. But JSC Amina Augie tongue lashed Babalola and Olanipekun and imposed a fine of 60 million naira on each of them.

18. After this 2014 judgement, implementation became problematic because two barriers stood in the way: the government acquisition gazette had recognized the Ojomu and secondly the quashed writ of possession.

19. It was at this point that some smart Lagos boys within the Lagos ministry of justice including the then solicitor general swung into action with the connivance of the Eletu to use the new supreme court’s judgment and subterfuge to get real state developers to be paying them.
20. Meanwhile the new guys and the Eletus dumped Afe Babalola because he was no longer needed. Afe grew angry and started using back door means to be fighting. Meanwhile, Farotimi was already leaking his wounds and angry with the corruption of the Supreme Court by Afe Babalola.

21. Afe babalola would not go without fighting the Lagos smart boys who wanted to dump him like used condom. In fact Afe wrote a petition against Lawal Pedro, the Solicitor General and the linchpin to the LCPDC. He also drafted ICPC in his fight against the Eletus , Pedro and the other hyenas who chased the lion away from his kill (that’s Farotimi analogy)
22. Afe took his frustrations to the CJ of Lagos Ayotunde Philips in a petition. It was in this petition that Farotimi saw his name mentioned and how Afe had described him in disparaging terms. It was this that made him to sue Afe Babalola for libel.

23. Farotimi did not sue for libel to really get back at Afe for disparaging him. He sued to use the Libel to further continue the fight that started and expose fraudulently procured supreme court judgment of 2014.

24. Afe saw through this and used his connections to the former boss of Farotimi and the chairperson of his marriage ceremony, Justice Oyekan Abdullahi to kill the libel suit. It was never heard.

25. After the all powers have connected to seal of all legal avenues for reprieve and after the clients of Farotimi have moved on by settling with the Eletus and the Lagos Officials and after Afe has been promised his cut in form of lands, Farotimi decided to write this book to bring the whole roof down.

I’m sure Afe Babalola will be thinking that this man is very Obstinate.

Farotimi had it all planned. This is the beginning of a long fight by a man on a suicide mission.
