U.S. Embassy In Nigeria Switches To New Visa Service Provider, Introduces New Website

The U.S. Embassy in Abuja and the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos have officially moved to a new visa services provider.

According to the Embassy via its official website on Tuesday, the enhanced site allows users to create an account, pay visa application fees, and book appointments online.

It also offers support services for U.S. visa applicants and American citizens.

For prompt assistance, users can utilise the new online chat feature. The page provides information on operational hours and methods.

For interviews scheduled on or after August 26, 2024, applicants will need to use the new visa services website, which is already active.

The new site will also handle fee payments, appointment scheduling, and customer services.

The statement reads, “We have moved to a new visa services provider! You can now schedule interview appointments on the new website.”

On its official website, the embassy says: “This newly enhanced site is the official U.S. website where you can create your account, pay your visa application fee, and schedule your U.S. visa appointment online. Information services for U.S. visa applicants and American Citizens are also available now to support you.

On July 29, 2024, the U.S. Embassy in Abuja and the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos announced that they were moving to a new visa services provider on August 26, 2024.

It was noted that all nonimmigrant visa interview appointments would remain valid.
