Turkish club, Galatasaray, have officially announced Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen as their new player earlier today, September 4, 2024.
Galatasaray took to all their social media platforms to post pictures and videos showing Victor Osimhen wearing their jersey. In one of the series of pictures the Turkish club shared on their verified X page, the 25-year-old striker could be seen sitting behind a table while posing like he was signing a document.
In a video, the English version of Galatasaray X page, posted today, a nightclub scene was shown in which all the characters in the clip were dancing while donning different designs of masks.
Suddenly, the music stopped and Victor Osimhen emerged from the darkness dressed in a black suit and wearing his trademark facemask.
After making his entrance into the nightclub, the light came on and all the other characters were taken aback by his presence in their midst.
A Europa League title then appeared which Osimhen pointed to and then exclaimed, “We are the best”, a line from the club’s famous chant.
The clip ended with Osimhen dropping his facemask beside the Europa League trophy which could signify that the reigning Turkish champions aim to win the title this season.
Recall that Victor Osimhen, who wanted to leave Napoli by all means this summer, settled for Galatasaray after his move to Chelsea and Al-Ahli failed on the last day of the major European leagues” transfer window.
Osimhen signed a season-long loan with Galatasaray, which comes with a break clause, meaning he could leave to some specific clubs who can pay for his reduced release clause (€75 million) in January. The Turkish side will be responsible for €6 million of his €10 million annual salary, while his parent club, Napoli, will cover the rest.
