Video: Abuja Protesters Defy Gunshots, Teargas, Security Crackdown March To Asokoro, Eagle Square

A large number of protesters are currently marching on a major road in Kugbo, Asokoro, within the Abuja Municipal Council Area (AMAC).

The protesters, numbering in the hundreds, have refused to retreat despite gunshots and teargas fired by security operatives.

These young Nigerians were not deterred by the Teargas being thrown at them as they match from MKO Abiola stadium to the Eagle Square defying the court order restraining them to protest only inside the stadium. And also defying the hired Pro government protesters.

The protesters in their thousands in Abuja have taken control of the Federal Secretariat Complex after being blocked from accessing the Eagle Square Complex by security agencies, who unleashed hundreds of teargas canisters in a bid to disperse overrun

Recall that Federal High Court in Abuja had late hours restricted protests to the Moshood Abiola Stadium.in an experte Order, While some protesters proceeded to the stadium, others gathered at various locations across the nation’s capital.

Security operatives are struggling to control the crowd of young people who insist they will remain on the streets until their demands for an improved economy are met.

Asokoro, where the protesters are located, is home to Nigeria’s seat of power, government establishments, military barracks, and the head office of the Department of State Services (DSS).
