Wike Blast Gov, Bala Of Bauchi State -Says ‘Your Lack of Leadership Capacity Is Not My Fault’ –

The Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, has reignited the verbal clash between Wike and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.

In a brief statement released on Friday, Olayinka asserted that Wike has contributed significantly more to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) than Governor Mohammed ever has. He also urged Mohammed’s associates to encourage the governor to address his shortcomings in providing effective leadership for the PDP, particularly as Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum.

Olayinka emphasized Wike’s pivotal role in supporting the PDP during challenging times, particularly after the party lost power in the 2015 general elections. He claimed that Wike had consistently defended and strengthened the party while Mohammed was allegedly absent from the frontline of political battles.

“For us, it is our sincere counsel to handlers of Senator Bala Mohammed to tell him to address his failure to provide leadership for the PDP, just as Wike did after the party lost power in 2015,” Olayinka stated.

He continued, “When Wike was taking bullets for the PDP, Bala Mohammed was probably hiding under the wrapper of his wives.”

This statement is the latest episode in the ongoing war of words between the camps of the FCT Minister and the Bauchi Governor. Both sides have traded accusations and criticisms, with each leader defending their political records and challenging the other’s credibility within the PDP.
While Wike’s camp has accused Mohammed of being an ineffective leader, particularly in his role as Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Mohammed’s team has criticized Wike for his perceived alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC) under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

As the tension escalates, it remains to be seen how both political figures will address the growing rift and its implications for the unity of the PDP.
