The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has criticised Governor Siminalayi Fubara over the termination of the 10,000 employments carried out during his tenure. Wike made the criticism today, Wednesday, during a thank-you visit to Ahoada East Local Government Area.
He stressed that governance is a continuous process, adding that the employment programme was designed to create job opportunities for youths in Rivers State. Wike also reiterated that the Rivers people made no mistake in supporting President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 general election and will again support his second-term bid in 2027. He noted that Rivers State has fared better under President Tinubu’s administration, adding that whatever mistake was made regarding the governorship of the state would be corrected in 2027.
On his part, the Chairman of the South South Development Commission, Prince Chibudum Nwuche, stressed the importance of gratitude. He said the Ekpeye people will continue to support the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, because of his positive impact on the area.
