Zone 6 Calabar Gets New AIG To Succeed Okunlola Kola, He Is—

The Zone 6 Headquarters of the Nigeria Police has a new Assistant Inspector-General of Police. He is AIG. Jonathan Towuru, mni. He succeeds AIG Okunlola Kola Kamaldeen, fdc who just retired.

The New Assistant Inspector-General of Police hails from Ughelli South in Delta State. He was appointed into the force as Cadet Assistant Superintendent in 1990. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the famous University of Calabar.

The AIG has before posting to the Zone held several Command and Staff appointments, attended several professional courses, international conferences and missions.

The thirty – first AIG assures the peace loving people of Akwa Ibom and Cross River States of adequate security, before, during and after the elections. He further urge them to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies in the area of information sharing to enable the Zone provide the desired citizen led policing in the Zone.
