Court Grants Fmr. LGA Chairman, First Class Traditional Ruler,5 Others Bail Over Alleged Killing Of Rivers DPO

A high court sitting in Portharcourt on Tuesday,28th November,2023  granted Eze Cassidy Ikegbidi, former Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Area HRM Eze Ngozi Onugwo the Eze Ekpeye Logbo and five others bail on health ground.

The trial judge, Justice Sika Henry Aprioku in his ruling on their bail application, granted Eze Ikegbidi and Eze Onugwo bail of ten million naira with one surety in like sum who must be level  of Permanent Secretary in Civil Service or a Government recognized Traditional ruler from the Ahoada LGAs.

The Judge granted bail of five million naira in like sum who must level 16 Civil Servant to the other five persons.

Justice Aprioku also ordered the accused persons to  deposit their travel documents such as international passport at the court while the case was adjourned to December 8th and 13th,2023

Recall that the accused are standing trial on charges ranging from alleged conspiracy to murder, murder of SP Bako Angbashim, former Divisional Police Officer(DPO) of Ahoada Police Division as well as  sponsorship of cultism etc.
