The Federal High Court sitting in Enugu has ordered the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to suspend all admission processes for the 2025/2026 academic session*.
The order was issued by Justice A.T. Segun-Bello on Tuesday, following an ex-parte motion filed by a group of candidates who participated in the 2025 Post-UTME of both universities.
* Key Points from the Court Order:*
*The court restrained UNILAG, OAU, and JAMB from releasing, approving, uploading, or finalizing any admission list pending hearing of the main case.*
Justice Segun-Bello noted there was a “veritable and triable issue” requiring both sides to be heard.
*The case has been adjourned to October 28, 2025 for hearing.*
*What This Means for Students:*
_If you applied to UNILAG or OAU, admission uploads on JAMB CAPS or school portals will be put on hold until the case is resolved._School supplies
*Candidates are advised to remain calm and patient as the matter is still in court.*
*The order does not cancel admissions, it only suspends the process temporarily until the next hearing.*
