A Nasarawa State High Court sitting in Lafia has convicted and sentenced to death by hanging a Nigerian singer, Timilehin Ajayi, for the murder of a female Corps Member, Salome Adaidu.

The convict faced a single charge of culpable homicide in violation of Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria, which prescribes the death penalty. Delivering judgement on Thursday, Justice Simon Aboki, found Ajayi guilty of murdering the late Corps member and dismembering her remains.
