Delta State Former Deputy Governor Joins His Ancestors

A former Delta State Deputy Governor, Professor Amos Agbe Utuama SAN, is dead.

Prof Utuama was a deputy to former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan. He served for eight years with Uduaghan on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) between 2007-2015, passed on after a protracted illness.

Our correspondent gathered that the Senior Advocate of Nigeria ((SAN) passed on in the early hours of Saturday in Lagos. He was born June 5, 1947.

He was also the commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Delta State under the administration of former Governor James Ibori. Although the passing of the legal luminary has not been officially announced by the family, political associates of the deceased confirmed the development to newsmen

Prior to joining politics, Prof Utuama was a well respected law lecturer at the University of Lagos.  He hailed from Otughievwen (Otu-Jeremi) town in Ughievwen Kingdom of Ughelli South local government area of Delta State.
