The Family of Killed Vigilante Member In Rivers Calls For Probe Accusing His Colleagues Of Being Responsible for his death

The family of thirty year old man Uche Orukwo and a member of vigilante group in Diobu has disputed claims that their son was killed by suspected cultists when they were on operation at Obidanso street, Mile 2 Diobu, Portharcourt Rivers state last Saturday.

Pastor Moses Orukwo, father of the killed vigilante member in a press briefing on Tuesday April 9,2024 said information available to him suggest that his son was killed by his colleagues who went with him on the operation.

Pastor Orukwo alleged that there have been hatred and envy against his Son by his colleagues after he was promoted to second in command of the vigilante unit/base where he is posted.

Pastor Orukwo called on the Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu to order an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding his Son’s death by inviting the Commander of the vigilante unit and the people who went with his Son for the operation.

Recall that the Rivers State Police Command had confirmed the killing of the vigilante member Uche Orukwo last Saturday .
