Gang War For Economic Control Of Elechi Beach In Mile1 Diobu Leaves 2 Cultist Dead

Two men nicknamed ’50’ and ‘Ejima’ were reported dead in a gun battle between two factions of Deygbam cult groups, BS and G12 Houses at Elechi beach axis of Mile 1 Diobu, Porthacourt in the wee hours of Tuesday, 24, January,2023.

Sources which pleaded anonymity to the press said that the gang war which started last Sunday may not be unconnected to battle for territorial control between the BS and G12 houses of suspected Deygbam cult groups over economic viability of the area.

he explained that 2 Cultist  ”Elechi beach Mile 1 Diobu Porthacourt from yesterday night and early Tuesday morning. Residents say there was sporadic shooting between suspected BS and G12 houses of Deygbam cult groups wee hours of this morning at the end of which two persons ’50’ and ‘Ejima’ were reported dead

Residents say there was sporadic shooting for at least one hour and explosives were also heard as the groups engaged themselves early hours of Tuesday.

Our reporter who visited the area reports that windscreen of some vehicles were damaged by the rampaging hoodlums as there was panic among residents and business owners in the area.

The residents also alleged that Police did not come despite the sporadic shooting for nearly one hour.
There was shooting on Sunday night and Yesterday night, Tuesday morning in that area said one of the distrust neighbors
