Gunmen Invade Kogi Community Kill APC Chairman, Others

Many people have been killed and hundreds of houses burnt when gunmen attacked Aloko, a community in Oganenigu Ward of Dekina Local Government Area (LGA) of Kogi State.

that the assailants in their dozens launched their latest attack on Sunday from a base in the neighboring Bassa LGA.

eye witness said that the invaders started shooting anyone in sight and set houses ablaze on arrival.

The Oganenigu Ward Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), James Adah, was among those killed in the attack.

Meanwhile, Governor Yahaya Bello has called for calm over the attack.

He said: “My administration will continue to face out crisis entrepreneurs from the state and ensure that those involved shall be brought to book under the laws.”
