The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has been declared winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC Primary governorship election ahead of the State election on November 16, 2024.

Kogi state governor and chairman of the electoral Committee Usman Ododo, declared the results on Monday morning.

Ododo said Aiyedatiwa secured over 48,000 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Olusola Oke, who polled 14,915 votes.

The election was cancelled in Ifedore LGA due to issues of violence.

The APC primary election, which started on Saturday, was marred by allegations of irregularities while there were demands for cancellation by the leading contenders.
