Music Star Ifunanya Not Killed By Snake, Nigeria Happened To Her – Atiku’s Aide

Paul Ibe, media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has blamed the death of fast-rising Nigerian musician, Ifunanya Nwangene, on poor healthcare facilities in the country.

The Abuja-based musician, a soprano singer with the Amemuso Choir, died on Saturday at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja, following a snake bite.

Reacting to the unfortunate incident, Ibe said in a post on his official X handle on Sunday that Nigeria “happened” to the young lady.

He wondered why such a public hospital in the nation’s capital would not be equipped with snake antivenom.

He wrote: “Fast-rising singer Ifunanya Nwangene, 26, was not killed by a snake. She was killed by Nigeria, or as is often said, Nigeria happened to her.

“To imagine that a public hospital in the Federal Capital Territory does not have snake antivenom, in a supposedly high-burden area for snakebite in Nigeria.

“Meanwhile, anti-opposition is available in great quantity.”
