Ohanaeze Ndigbo Congratulates Rivers Governor-Elect, Urge Aggrieved Candidates Of Other Political Parties To Support Sir Sim Fubara For Better Rivers State

The Apex Igbo socio-cultural Organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Rivers State Chapter has congratulated Sir Amaopusenibo Siminalayi “Sim” Fubara on his emergence as the Governor-Elect of Rivers State in the just concluded governorship elections under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Chief Lucky Ekeji, the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Rivers State Chapter in a congratulatory message dated March 21, 2023, described Sir Sim Fubara`s victory as a victory for all Rivers people, non-Indigenes most especially the Igbos irrespective of political affiliation.

Chief Ekeji in the statement noted that the emergence of Sir Sim Fubara as the Governor-Elect of Rivers State is a significant pointer that politics today is tilting towards meritocracy. He said Sir Sim Fubara`s campaign slogan of “New River Vision” encapsulates the whole yearning of the masses.

The President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Rivers State Chapter who commended the State Governor Nyesom Wike for supporting the candidacy of Sir Sim Fubara, also showered encomiums on the electoral umpire INEC for ensuring a free, fair and credible Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in Rivers State.

He also thanked all Igbos in Rivers State that adhered to Ohanaeze Ndigbo`s directive and voted massively for Sir Amaopusenibo Siminalayi “Sim” Fubara.

Chief Lucky Ekeji, the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Rivers State Chapter, further assured that the Igbos would continue supporting Sir Sim Fubara throughout his administration to ensure his success.

Chief Lucky Ekeji however, appealed to aggrieved candidates of other political parties to sheathe their swords and support Sir Amaopusenibo Siminalayi “Sim” Fubara on his emergence as the Governor-Elect of Rivers State.
