Ooni Of Ife Palace Chambers Razed Down By Fire

An apartment structure within the palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, was completely destroyed by fire on Friday night. Olafare disclosed that the inferno was quickly put out by the combined efforts of the Government Fire Service, OAU Fire Service, and Palace Emergency Control Unit. It only affected the building that was located in a particular area of the palace grounds.

The statement reads: “A building apartment within the courtyard of the Palace Of The Ooni Of Ife was at about 11:30pm yesterday engulfed in flames of fire incident triggered by power surge which exploded through electrical appliances in the affected apartment. ic Affairs at the Ooni’s Palace. “The inferno did not spread beyond the affected building located at a section of the palace premises as it was swiftly put off through the combined efforts of the Government Fire Service, OAU Fire Service & Palace Emergency Control Unit.
