Photos: Late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah Buried Amidst Heavy Security, Tears and Praises Of Good Deeds

The industrial town of Nnewi in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra State literarily stood still as the senator representing Anambra South district, Sen Dr Ifeanyi Ubah was laid to rest.

The remains of the business mongul was taken to the palace of HRH, Igwe Dr KON Orizu 111 for a lying in state, he was later taken to his palatial home at Umuanuka, Otolo-Nnewi, for his final home coming. Tension rose to the crescendo at the home of Sen Ubah as many people who couldnโ€™t control their emotions burst into uncontrollable tears.

The Bishop of Ekwulobia, Peter Cardinal Okpaleke, has described the demise of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah as a lesson to those alive, emphasizing the importance of living an exemplary life to be remembered after oneโ€™s passing.

Cardinal Okpaleke stated this at the funeral service of the late senator, which took place at St. Peter Clever Parish, Umuanukam, Otolo Nnewi, in Anambra State.

The cardinal recalled the philanthropic life of Ubah, noting that he had always strived to touch peopleโ€™s lives in meaningful ways.

Okpaleke praised Ubahโ€™s commitment to service and his exemplary life, which he said should serve as a model for others to emulate.

โ€œHis demise is a lesson to us all,โ€ Cardinal Okpaleke said, adding โ€œWe must strive to live a life that will be remembered for good. We must touch lives, we must make a difference, and we must leave a lasting legacy.โ€

Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State also paid tribute to the late senator, sharing his last moments with Ubah and expressing shock and sadness at his sudden passing.

โ€œI still remember when we met sometime in May, and I asked him if he was nursing an ambition for something.

โ€œHe told me that he also wanted to be part of it, and he said that the only way out is for Sir Emeka Offor to convene a meeting at our instance.โ€

Soludo expressed regret that Ubahโ€™s death was not part of their discussion, and he asked rhetorically, โ€œIs this what we discussed?โ€

Former Senator Uche Ekwunife eulogized Ubah, describing him as a rare gem committed to youth development.

Ekwunife praised Ubahโ€™s leadership, kindness, and compassion, noting that his impact and legacy would be remembered for generations to come.

โ€œYou were an avatar, sports enthusiast, a rare gem committed to youth development, whose kind comes only once in a lifetime,โ€ Ekwunife said, adding โ€œIn you, we saw the true essence of leadership and the true definition of kindness; not just in titles and positions, but in words and deeds.โ€

The late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was laid to rest at his country home in Umuanukam, Otolo Nnewi, amidst tears and tributes from dignitaries, friends, and family members.
