The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, the faction led by Emeka Beke has issued a call for the national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, to step aside in light of a court order.

Nwauju cited the party’s constitution, highlighting that the authority to suspend or dismiss members lies with the ward executives and members. He urged Ganduje to relinquish his position and allow his Deputy to oversee the party’s affairs. Quoting specific articles from the party’s constitution, Nwauju reiterated the importance of addressing disciplinary measures at the ward level.

He emphasized that with the affirmation of Ganduje’s suspension by a High Court, it is imperative for him to step aside as National Chairman, allowing the Deputy National Chairman (North) to assume the role temporarily. Nwauju also raised concerns regarding the representation of the North Central zone within the party’s leadership, urging for the rightful replacement of Ganduje from the same zone as per the party’s constitution.
