The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice SIMEON CHIBUZOR-AMADI says the annual vacation of judges of High Court of the state will begin on Monday, 20th of July 2026.
Justice CHIBUZOR-AMADI in a statement signed by the Chief Registrar, Rivers State High Court, DAVID IHUA-MADUENYI said normal court sitting will resume on Wednesday, the 16th of September, 2026.
The statement said the vacation is in pursuant to Order forty-nine, Rule four D of High Court of Rivers State Civil Procedure Rule, 2023 as altered.
The statement revealed that all judicial divisions of the High Court shall remain closed during the vacation while insisting that normal court sitting shall resume on Wednesday, 17th, September, 2023.
DAVID IHUA-MADUENYI further disclosed that any urgent Matter filed during the vacation shall be entertained by any of the vacation judges to be appointed by the Chief Judge
