Rivers Police Confirm Arrest Of 9 Persons, One Killed, House, Car Burnt After Youths Clash With Vigilante In Egbeda

The Rivers State Police Command says nine persons were arrested in Egbeda community in Emohua Local Government Area of the state on Friday May 31st,2024 when protesters clashed with OSPAC(Vigilante) in the community resulting in the death of one protester.

SP Grace Iringe Koko, Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command made the disclosure in an interview with Journalists.

revelationagents.com had reported that the vigilante Commander aka Muffi allegedly opened fire on the protesters who were protesting against the choice of a Community Liaison Officer(CLO) to a construction company in the community leading to the death of one Oregi.

Irate Youth in the community had in retaliation to the killing stormed the house of the OSPAC commander setting it ablaze .A Sienna car believed to be operational vehicle of OSPAC was also set ablaze by the irate Youth
