Soludo Set To Establish Old People’s Clinic: Rescues New Born Babies From Death At Enugwu-Ukwu General Hospital

The Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra state has rescued premature new born babies from death at Enugwu-Ukwu General Hospital Njikoka local government area of the state.

The State Commissioner for Health Dr. Ben Afam Obidike who disclosed this to our correspondent, said the governor has again reiterated his commitment to saving more lives especially children through comprehensive healthcare delivery.

He explained that the pre-term babies whose weight were 1.3 kg at birth and delivered at the 7th month of pregnancy, survived due to the massive innovations in the health sector especially with the recruitment of specialist health personnel in government owned hospitals.

He said stories in the past revealed that many of such babies with premature birth have died severally in the hospital but with the recruitment of a Consultant Pediatrician at Enugwu-Ukwu General Hospital, such deaths have reduced drastically because the governor has deployed materials and qualified human resource for health to handle such delicate situations.
