Tinubu Changes Choice, Replaces Name Of Female Ministers Nominee From Kano To Festus Keyamo

President, Bola Tinubu has withdrawn the nomination of Dr Mariam Shetty, a nominee from Kano State.

The President replaced Shetty with Mariga Mahmud. He also nominated former spokesperson for the Bola Tinubu presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had on Wednesday sent an additional list of 19 nominees which included Maryam Shetty from his ministerial list, which is  now replaced with Festus Keyamo to complement the previously sent 28-man nominees earlier sent on August 2.

Also written to the Senate for inclusion into Tinubu’s ministerial list is Dr Maigari Mahmud. This was revealed when Senate President Godswill Akpabio read the President’s letter during Friday’s plenary session.

Recall that on Thursday that the ministerial nomination of Maryam Shetty from Kano State by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday had continued to generate mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media, particularly, Twitter.
