Wanted NYCS Member Serving With Anambra Police Arrested In Benin Republic

The face behind controversial blog, Gistlover has been arrested by the International Police.

Emeh Nnamdi, a member of the National Youths Service Corps, was declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force for impersonation and defamation of character.

Nnamdi was arrested during a joint operation by INTERPOL operatives of Benin Republic and Nigeria on Friday, March 3, 2023.

The 26-year-old corps member had been declared wanted on February 20, 2023, by the Anambra State Police Command on the offence of unlawful possession of a firearm, money laundering, defamation of character, fraud, and impersonation.

He was also wanted in connection with allegations, which was made via his Gistlover Instagram handle, that top police officers in the state Police Command were involved in kidnapping, killing of suspects and human organ harvesting after extorting them.

It was gathered that Nnamdi is an IT expert serving as a tracker in the Anambra State Police Command.

According to the report, the suspect is currently in police custody in Abuja.
