Open Appeal to His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara the Executive Governor of Rivers State
we ,humbly write to bring to your attention the recent increment of graduation fees by Rivers State University, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Zeb-obipi. The new fee structure has added ₦52,000 to the previous ₦45,000, bringing the total to ₦97,000. While we appreciate the institution’s efforts, this significant increase imposes a substantial financial burden on graduating students.
On behalf of my fellow concerns Comrade in the struggle, I Comr Andy Kelvin, kindly request your intervention to review this matter. We fear that this increment may prevent some students from participating in their graduation ceremony. I want to emphasize that this appeal is not intended to disrespect our Vice Chancellor but rather to ensure fairness and accessibility.
We respectfully implore you to look into this matter and consider reviewing the fee structure to make it more manageable for students.
