Brainstrust International School, Kaduna, has announced plans to fully implement Nigeria’s 2025 National Curriculum beginning from the 2026/2027 academic session as it celebrated its 26th Prize and Speech Giving Day.
The Proprietor of the school, Dr. Stephen O. Isaac, disclosed this during the graduation ceremony held in Kaduna, where he said the adoption of the new curriculum was part of the institution’s commitment to providing quality education and equipping learners with the knowledge and skills required to meet contemporary educational standards.
Reflecting on the school’s journey, Dr. Isaac said Brainstrust International School, established on September 22, 1997, had remained committed to academic excellence and character development, producing graduates from its nursery, primary and secondary sections over the past 26 years.
He expressed appreciation to parents, teachers, alumni and other stakeholders for their unwavering support, describing their contributions as instrumental to the growth and success of the institution.
The proprietor also singled out philanthropist Dr. Ibrahim Audu for supporting indigent students by paying examination fees for 10 candidates who sat for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), seven candidates for the National Examinations Council Senior School Certificate Examination (NECO SSCE), and 10 candidates for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to him, the intervention ensured that the beneficiaries were able to continue their education despite financial challenges.
Dr. Isaac said the school had continued to record remarkable achievements in both academics and extracurricular activities, noting that its students emerged winners in a quiz competition organised by the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture and also secured first position in an inter-school debate competition.
He added that the school exposed learners to practical knowledge through educational excursions to several institutions and facilities, including Arewa House, the College of Animal Science, Ahmadu Bello University, Mando Campus, the National Innovation Technology Centre, a machine workshop and a block-making industry.
Addressing the graduating pupils and students, the proprietor urged them to remain focused and disciplined as they pursued higher education and future careers.
He encouraged them to appreciate the sacrifices made by their parents and guardians, uphold the values they had learnt in school and avoid actions capable of bringing disrepute to their families and alma mater.
Chairman of the occasion and Makaman K/Mashi, Alhaji Hassan Muhammad Sani, congratulated the graduating students on the successful completion of their studies, describing the occasion as a significant milestone in their academic journey.
He urged them to remain worthy ambassadors of the institution and prepare themselves for leadership and responsible citizenship.
The traditional title holder also commended the management of Brainstrust International School for its commitment to quality education and prayed for greater success for the institution.
He disclosed that some of his children had benefited from the school’s scholarship programme, describing himself as one of the beneficiaries of its generosity.
Alhaji Sani further praised the school for supporting the development of its host community through its educational and social interventions.
The event featured a variety of cultural displays, drama, choreography and other performances by pupils and students from the nursery, primary, junior secondary and senior secondary sections, earning applause from parents and invited guests.
Certificates, prizes and other awards were presented to outstanding pupils and students in recognition of their academic excellence, discipline and outstanding performances during the session.
Speaking on behalf of the graduating class, Master Solomon Orgah thanked the management and teachers for laying a solid educational foundation for the students.
He urged his colleagues to remain good ambassadors of the school wherever they found themselves and encouraged the students coming behind them to remain committed to their studies, expressing confidence that diligence and faith would lead them to success.
Dr. Isaac concluded the ceremony with a vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to dignitaries, parents, alumni, teachers, students and guests for honouring the school’s invitation and for their continued support towards sustaining its vision of academic excellence.
