Ekpeye Anti-Cultism Crusader, Hector Arrested Not Kidnapped -Police

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed that Ekeakita Hector Chinem, Public Relations Officer of Igbu Akoh Youth Congress, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State who was reportedly abducted by men in kaki Police Uniform and white hilux at Promise fast food opposite Abua junction in East West road on Thursday evening November 16,2023 was not abducted but arrested by the Police.

The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko made the disclosure to our reporter in a telephone call but she did not give details as whether it was the Police in Rivers State or outside the state.

On Friday evening, there was apprehension and anxiety in Ahoada East when Mr. Hector, a major anti-cultism crusader was whisked away by unidentified men in Kaki-Police Uniform.

Concerned Youth of Ekpeye had in a statement on Friday 17,November 2023 called on the Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu and Divisional Police Officer of (DPO) of Ahoada Police Division to ensure unconditional release of the Youth spokesperson.
