Former Ohanaeze Ndigbo President in Rivers State Chief Dr. Lucky Ekeji Congratulates New Ohanaeze Leadership, Hails Rivers Governor

The Immediate Past President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Rivers State, Chief Dr. Lucky Ekeji has congratulated Senator John Azuta-Mbata as the 13th President General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

Chief Dr Lucky described the emergence of Sen. John Azuta-Mbata as the President of the prominent Pan-Igbo socio-cultural group, as Landmark Achievement, not just for him, but for the Igbo people and Nigeria politics at large.

The immediate Past President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Rivers State, Chief Dr. Lucky Ekeji in a statement made available to Journalists in Port Harcourt, believes that Azuta-Mbata’s new leadership position offers him tremendous influence, a powerful platform to unite the Igbo community, and a voice to drive social-political change across Nigeria.

Also, Chief Dr Lucky Ekeji congratulated the newly elected president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Rivers State, Mr Livingstone Nweche and his executives. Lucky who applauded Nweche’s new position, accounted it as meritorious, well deserved and the best Man to lead Ndigbo in state.

He commended the efforts and contribution of High Chief Dr Samuel Anya, the Rivers State Commissioner for Special Duties who he said supported the newly elected leaders both at the National and Rivers State.

Chief Lucky Ekeji further pledged his unalloyed support to the executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, following his developmental strive and the inclusion of non indigenes in his cabinet. He said, the appointment of Dr Samuel Anya as Commissioner for Special Duties is testament of Fubara’s valuable contribution to none indigenes community and commitment to good governance.

Chief Lucky maintained that comes 2027, the Igbos in Rivers State will ensure that Sir Sim Fubara emerge victorious to complete his 2nd tenure in office.
