“I’ll Be Using 250 Bags of Rice For World’s Largest Jollof Pot Attempt” – Hilda Baci

The Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, is taking on an exciting new challenge. She’s announced plans to cook the world’s largest pot of Jollof rice, a feat that will require an impressive 250 bags of rice.

This massive cooking endeavor is part of the #GinoworldJollofFestwithHildaBaci event, scheduled for September 12, 2025, in partnership with @ginonaija.

The gigantic pot, measuring 6 meters wide and 6 meters tall with a capacity of 22,619 liters, will need to be filled to at least 80% of its capacity. To achieve this, Hilda will use approximately 5,278 kilograms of raw basmati rice and 1,583 kilograms of Gino tomato paste. This record-breaking attempt promises to be an unforgettable experience, showcasing Hilda’s culinary skills and determination.

With her previous experience in breaking records, including her attempt at the longest cooking marathon where she cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes, Hilda Baci is well-prepared for this new challenge. We wish her all the best in her record-breaking attempt and look forward to seeing the outcome of this incredible feat.
