Rotary Family Health Day Takes Free Medical Outreach To Port Harcourt Maximum Prisons, Donates Drugs, Sanitaries

Donation of drugs and sanitaries to the Maximum Security Custodial Centre (Nigeria Prisons, Port Harcourt Centre) Clinic.

The State Representative of Rotary Family Health Days, Rtn. Ozumonu Gudu accompanied with some Rotarians and Rotaractors in Rivers State of District 9141, visited the Nigeria Prison Yard on Tuesday, 7th of November, 2023 to donate some drugs and sanitaries to the Clinic at the center.

In her presentation, she informed the Prison officials that Rotary Clubs in Rivers State recently carried out a 3-days Free Medical Outreach in five (5) centres across the State namely Oginigba, Okuru, Mgbuoshimini, Ozuoba and Bonny Island and as part of the Rotary Family Health Days programme, Rotary is donating drugs and sanitaries to the Prison Clinic, in order to assist inmates to couch their medical needs and hoped the drugs will be used for the well-being of the inmates.

The 2i/c, Sup. Paul Ofurum, who received the drugs on behalf of his Deputy Comptroller in charge of Maximum Security Custodial Centre, promised that the drugs will be used for the good of the Inmates.

He expressed his appreciation for the good works of Rotary and prayed God to replenish their resources.
