United Nations Intl Justice Day: Relief Intl Set To Open Human Rights Clinic, For Residents To Seek Redress, Justice

Relief International Africa joins the global community in commemorating the 2024 United Nations International Justice Day, marking a significant milestone in our collective pursuit of justice, equality, and human rights for all.
This year’s theme, “Building a Just and Equitable Future,” resonates deeply with Relief International Africa’s mission to empower vulnerable communities, promote social cohesion, and advance access to justice in Nigeria and across the continent.

As part of the programs put together to commemorate the International Justice Day 2024, Relief International Africa will be launching a Human Rights Intervention Program, named the Human Rights Clinic on Thursday 29th February, 2024. This is designed to intervene in a wide range of human rights issues, including but not limited to domestic violence, reporting and documentation of Human Rights abuses, and public interest litigations. Our objective is to provide a platform for individuals who have experienced violations of their fundamental rights to seek redress and justice.

2. Strengthening Access to Justice: We continue to work tirelessly to enhance access to justice for marginalized communities, including refugees, internally displaced persons, and vulnerable populations, ensuring they have a voice and legal recourse in seeking justice and accountability.

3. Promoting Rule of Law: We advocate for the rule of law as a cornerstone of stable and inclusive societies, fostering environments where justice, fairness, and accountability prevail.

4. Fostering Peace and Reconciliation: We support efforts to build sustainable peace and reconciliation processes, addressing root causes of conflict and fostering social cohesion to prevent recurrence of violence and injustice.

On this auspicious occasion, Relief International Africa calls upon governments, civil society organizations, and the international community to renew their commitment to advancing justice, equality, and human rights for all.
