SAD: Gunmen Beheads Labour Party Campaign Director

The Campaign Director of Labour Party (LP) during the 2023 general elections in Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, has been killed and beheaded by unknown assailants.

Hon Maduka Zachary also known as “Power Zack”, the home branch chairman of Uturu Development Union was beheaded by yet to be identified men numbering about 10, at his residence yesterday in Uturu,

We gathered that, the incident happened yesterday, 14th September, 2023 around 7:00pm in the night at his residence in Uturu, Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State and family members, friends and relatives have been thrown into a state of mourning and confusion as to why such act would be carried out in their community.

His killers were said to have also left with the head along with them, leaving only his body for his kinsmen to see after several struggles with the unknown Men who were said to have arrived his residence with pump action guns, cutlasses, and several other ammunitions. He was dragged on the floor, killed before he was finally beheaded and took his head away living his lifeless body on the ground.

Before his death, Maduka was the Chairman of Uturu Development Union and also the community head of security team fighting against the continuous cases of kidnapping within and around Uturu area.

Maduka Zachary was also the campaign director to the house member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal constituency, Hon Amobi Ogah during the last general elections.
